Description > Convenient: Handy electrolysis machine that can be powered via a USB cable. Easy to take with you, so that you can easily provide yourself with a very powerful disinfectant (more powerful than alcohol or chlorine) at any location with power. > Make HClO: Although the disinfection water can be made yourself by dissolving 3 g/l of table salt (pure, without iodine) in tap water, we recommend using “Base for HClO” to use. The “Base for HClO” is designed to produce a significantly higher amount of HClO (active ingredient) during electrolysis than when using tap water. When the HClO content in the water is high, a superior disinfection is created, which is more powerful with shorter exposure times. > Use: Add 250 ml “Base for HClO” to the spray bottle/reactor. Leave the bottle open or do not fully close the trigger cap during activation. The HClO maker can be powered via the supplied USB micro USB cable and your own telephone adapter (5V – 2A). Turn on the HClO maker using the button and the electrolysis cycle will take 8 minutes. After this, you will immediately have a disinfectant that is safe to use and eliminates 99.9% of all bacteria and viruses in a short time. Use it when disinfecting surfaces, toys, neutralizing pesticides on fruits and vegetables (rinse with clean water to remove a very slight salty taste). When disinfecting hands, let hands air dry. Here's how it works: During the electrolysis of water with a certain salt content, the following is produced: Hydrogen, Chlorine gas, Sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) and Hydrogen hypochlorite (HClO). Both Sodium hypochlorite and Hydrogen hypochlorite have an oxidizing effect on viruses and bacteria (disinfecting). However, Hydrogen hypochlorite is the stronger brother of the two. In order to produce more HClO than NaClO, the water must be clean (distilled) and above all have the correct, slightly acidic pH value. Tap water can sometimes even be slightly basic, which means that more NaClO is produced than from HClO. If the water is too acidic, then mainly Chlorine gas is produced, which is a very poisonous gas. That is why we recommend using the “Base for HClO” .
