The Bernette B33 sewing machine is designed for ease of use. The basic range of 15 stitches are often all you need. They include, straight stitch, zig-zag, blind-hem and a selection of stretch stitches. In addition the Bernette B33 has a 4-step buttonhole. Keeping things simple, there are just two dials to select and adjust the stitch settings. And there’s a nice sized lever you can press for reverse stitching, or back tacking. Stitch width is 5mm. The raceway in the Bernette B33 sewing machine is front-loading and of the traditional metal construction. While this may sound a little boring, it makes a big difference. The advantage of the front-loader is its hard wearing construction. A metal bobbincase, and a metal shuttle, will last the test of time. This is especially useful if the user is a beginner, and a little cinexperienced. Thread jams can be easily fixed by removing the metal guard ring. It manages even thick or heavy layers of fabric with ease, as the 2-step foot lift provides extra space under the presser foot. Simply raise the presser foot lift of the Bernette B33-and even thick layers of denim or linen can be placed effortlessly under the presser foot. Thanks to its excellent piercing power, you can sew through several layers of fabric with ease. The pressure of the presser foot can be adjusted to suit any textile–which means that even sewing projects requiring tricky fabrics can be managed to perfection with the Bernette B33. Simple dials for all sewing settings The two non-slip dials make it easy to adjust the stitch type and length. The 4-step buttonhole function can also be adjusted as you sew, with a simple turn of the dial.
